The wildflowers featured on this page include the Western Spiderwort Flower (Tradescantia occidentalis) and the Wild Iris – (Iris missouriensis). The photos of the Colorado Wildflowers located on this page were taken in Castle Rock Colorado. We photographed them between 6:30am and 8:00am on June 11 and June 12, 2016. There appeared to be many more wildflowers blooming this year. This may have been due to the rain fall we experienced in May and June.

Technical Details About the Photos
The camera gear used to photograph the Colorado Western Spiderwort Wildflowers included the following; a Nikon D810 with a Nikon MB-D12 Battery Grip, a Nikon D750 with a Nikon MB-D16 Battery Grip, a Nikkor 28-300mm, f/3.5-5.6, and a ThinkTank Digital Holster 40 V2.0. The photos using the Nikon D810 and D750 at a focal length of 300mm using the macro mode on the 28-300mm Lens. The photos were taken in the RAW format and exposures for the images averaged between 1/50 and 1/200 of a second at f/11 to f/5.6 with a camera ISO of 100 to 400.
