Castle Rock Colorado Photos Spring and Summer 2018: Colorado Landscape Photographs of Castle Rock taken in Spring and Supper 2018. Beautiful clouds can be seen floating in the sky above Castle Rock in several of these Spring and Summer morning photographs. You can see cotton ball clouds, a rare bow cloud in the photos, as well as a local that occasionally flies an ultra light aircraft over the rock in the morning. The warm skies make for stunning landscape views of Castle Rock in these images. In the first image you can see streaks of light rays streaming through the bow cloud above making it appear as though light rays are emanating from the horizon. These mid spring to late Summer photos of Castle Rock Colorado were taken at sunrise from early June to September in 2018.

Gear Used to Photograph Castle Rock Colorado Sunrise in Spring & Summer
The following camera gear was used in the Colorado Landscape Photography of Sunrise in Castle Rock:
- a Nikon D810 with MB-D12 Battery Grip,
- Think Tank Photo Digital Holster 50 v2.0,
- and a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR,
These Spring and Summer morning photos were all hand held. The exposures for the sunrise images averaged between 1/25 of a second to 1/320 second at f/8 to f/4. We used the D810’s Auto ISO setting when taking these photos. The ISO ranged from 64 up to 250. All of the photos were processed from single exposures and exposing for the highlights while bringing up the shadows. This process was done in order to retain the high dynamic tonal range of the early morning light of Spring and Summer. We used Adobe Lightroom CC Classic to process all images after the Nikon RAW (NEF) files were converted to the DNG file format.
