The photos of the Colorado Wildflowers located on this page were taken in Castle Rock, Colorado. We photographed them between 6:30am and 8:00am in May and June 2016. You may have noticed many more wildflowers blooming this year in Colorado. This was likely due to the generous amounts of rain fall we received in the months of, April, May and June.

Technical Details About the Colorado Red Orange Wildflowers
The camera gear used to photograph the Colorado Red Orange Wildflowers included the following; a Nikon D810 with a Nikon MB-D12 Battery Grip, a Nikon D750 with a Nikon MB-D16 Battery Grip, a Nikkor 28-300mm, f/3.5-5.6, and a ThinkTank Digital Holster 40 V2.0. The photos using the Nikon D810 and D750 at a focal length of 300mm using the macro mode on the 28-300mm Lens. The photos were taken in the RAW format and exposures for the images averaged between 1/50 and 1/200 of a second at f/11 to f/5.6 with a camera ISO of 100 to 400.
