Landscape Photos of Castle Rock Colorado Autumn 2018: These landscape photographs of Castle Rock are from the Fall of 2018. Dramatic and colorful clouds can be seen floating in the sky above Castle Rock in most of these Autumn morning photographs. You can see popcorn clouds, wild looking bow clouds, as well as soft pastel colored high clouds over the rock in the morning. The colorful skies make for stunning landscape views of Castle Rock in these images. In the first image you can see orange and pink colors paint the upper sky as the low clouds hint of color during dawn’s first light. These Autumn photos of Castle Rock Colorado were taken at sunrise in early October to mid December 2018.

Gear Used to Photograph Castle Rock Colorado Sunrise in Autumn
The following photography gear is used in the Colorado Landscape Photos of Castle Rock at Sunrise:

- a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR,
- The Nikkor 24-120mm, f/4,
- an iPhone Xs Max,
- and the Sony RX 100 MIV.
These Autumn morning photos are all hand held. The exposures for the sunrise images average between 1/20 of a second to 1/100 second at f/8 to f/4. We make use of the Nikon D810 and D850 Auto ISO settings when taking these photos. Also set up the Sony Rx 100 MIV with an Auto ISO range. The ISO is at 64 up to 3200. Most of the photos are processed from single exposures and exposing for the highlights while bringing up the shadows. A few of the image were blended from 3 exposures to create a RAW DNG HDR file. This process was done in order to retain the high dynamic tonal range of the early morning light of Autumn. The Panoramic photos are also blended from several exposures to create a Panoramic DNG file. We used Adobe Lightroom CC Classic to process all images after the Nikon RAW (NEF) files were converted to the DNG file format.
