Bow Mar Lake is within the town of Bow Mar and is located in Arapahoe and Jefferson Counties, 12 miles from Downtown Denver Colorado. The photos of Bow Mar Lake, Tule Lake and Marston Reservoir located on this page were taken in the evening (just before and after sunset) on May 23, 2015. Bow Mar Lake is a private recreational lake for residents. We were fortunate enough to have been invited by a resident (that was selling their home) to photograph the area for a sales brochure.

Photography Gear Used to Capture the Bow Mar Lake Images
The camera gear used to photograph Bow Mar Lake in Colorado includes the following; a Nikon D810, a Nikon D750, a Nikkor 24-70mm, f/2.8, a Nikkor 14-24mm, f/2.8, a Gitzo Mountaineer tripod with a Really Right Stuff ball head and an Apple iPhone 6 Plus. The evening exposures for the images averaged between 8 seconds and 30 seconds in length at f/8.0 to f/22.0 with camera ISO of 100-200. Some of images were created by combining 7 exposures at one full stop apart so that we could capture the high dynamic range of the night time scene and give the water a glassy surreal look.
