The Crested Butte photos on this page were taken on a beautiful Colorado Autumn day just after a light dusting of evening snow on September 29, 2013. Crested Butte is about 228 miles Southwest of Denver (2 Hours 15 minutes) in Colorado’s Gunnison National Forest.

Many of the photos were taken off Kebler Pass on Gunnison County Road 12. In the Fall Kebler Pass gives visitors a chance to take in the beautiful golden colors of Colorado aspen trees. Traveling over the pass provides great views of the surrounding West Elk Mountains and the Ruby Range, giving plenty of opportunities to photograph stunning fall colors. Driving into town off Highway 133 you will also find a few more photo opportunities. Just off the highway you will see the towering Crested Butte, an old historic log cabin and an old red barn.
