Photos of Jelly Belly Stunt Plane at Colorado Airshow
Photos of Jelly Belly Stunt Plane at Colorado Airshow. Kent Pietsch, Professional Stunt Pilot piloted the Jelly Belly stunt plane at this year’s Rocky Mountain Airshow. Kent flies an 800-pound Interstate Cadet with a 37-foot wingspan. The plane’s horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine can generate 90 horsepower and a G-force ranging from -3 to +5. The Interstate Cadet was an American two-seat tandem, high wing, single-engine monoplane light aircraft. Around 320 of these aircraft were produced between the years 1941 and 1942 by the Interstate Aircraft and Engineering Corporation based in El Segundo, California. One reason it may not have sold well was that this aircraft cost almost three times the amount of the comparable Piper J-3 Cub. The photographs of the Jelly Belly plane we taken on August 15, 2015 in Broomfield Colorado.
