The Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad was opened in 1967. Since 1967 the the Cripple Creek & Victor Colorado Narrow Gauge Railroad has taken passengers on scenic ride in the Rocky Mountains, with an emphasis on the local history of the gold rush. The restored steam locomotives and station house from 1894, are some one of the Gold Camp’s favorite attractions. Visitors can take a train ride on a winding four-mile trip through the area’s historic gold mining district. The restored trains leave the depot daily from mid-May through mid-October. The trip includes stops at special points of interest and photo opportunities. The track heads south from Cripple Creek, crosses a reconstructed trestle and stops at a deserted mining town before returning.
Just around the corner from the old train station you will find an old abandoned cedar house. This skeleton house is on Rt. 67 as you enter town from Colorado Springs.
