Photos of Mummy Range Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado. These images of Mt Chapin and Mt Ypsilon in the Mummy Range were captured on a foggy autumn morning. Upon finishing our sunrise photos at the Rock Cut we made our way down the mountain. As the low lying fog began to clear this scene enfolded before us. Stopping at Rainbow Curve, dramatic light filtering through the clouds bathed the mountain range in dappled light providing us with spectacular views. These photos of Mt Chapin and Mt Ypsilon in the Mummy Range were taken on October 4, 2018 between 8:48am and 8:56am.

Technical Details of Photography of Mummy Range RMNP
The following camera gear was used in the Landscape Photography of the Mummy Range in Rocky Mountain National Park:
- a Nikon D850 with a Really Right Stuff L-Bracket,
- F-Stop Gear Aloe Green Tilopa 50L Back Pack (with large Pro ICU),
- a Really Right Stuff TVC 34L tripod,
- with a Really Right Stuff BH-50 LR Ballhead,
- and an AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR lens.
The photo to the right was taken on the Nikon D850 and 70-200mm lens at 70mm. We captured this image just as the winds picked up, fog cleared and the dappled light illuminated Mount Chapin. The D850 exposures for the images averaged between 1/60 of a second to 1/250 of a second at f/11. We used the D850’s native ISO of 64. Adobe Lightroom Classic CC is our editing and Digital Asset Management tool of choice. The Black and White images were converted using DXO’s Silver Efex Pro. These are all single RAW files processed as DNG files.
