About the The Yakovlev & Nanchang CJ-6 Aircraft
The Yakovlev Yak-52 first flew in 1976, and is still being produced in Bacau, Romania, by Aerostar. It was originally built to be used as a trainer for students who would later transition to Soviet jet aircraft. The Yakovlev Yak-54 is a 1990s Russian aerobatic and sports competition aircraft designed by the Yakovlev Aircraft Corporation. The Nanchang CJ-6 is an aircraft designed and built in China for use by the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) as a basic trainer.
